Brian Donnelly began his career in the 90s creating figurative characters and motifs under the guise of KAWS. These figures often included repeated use of casts that were originally painted in 2D before being realized in 3D.
They range from a few inches tall to around 33 feet and were made from aluminum, bronze and fiberglass, as well as wood and a steel pontoon inflatable raft. You read that correctly.
