Introducing our 200,000th model car added to the database

We were hoping for this to happen in 2021 and thanks to the current migration of the Brooklin Models Official Archive and many others, it did!  Here is our 200,000th model, the 1960 Facel Vega HK500 made by Pathfinder Models  –

We used this opportunity for a State of the Nation review of Model Cars on hobbyDB (all part of our plan to share more Stats with our members).  Here is our first infographic (just click on it to see it in large)  –

Nice to see we already documented 2,637 Brands that made at least one model car!

And the team has big plans for 2021  –

1. More Official Archives for brands (getting models up when they get announced)
2. More military models and tractors
3. More 1:87 scale models
4. More customs and also the ability to add artistic photos (there is a lot of excellent creative work done that we like to showcase to our members)
5. More model kits, slot cars and tinplate cars (Paul Deardorff started this last week for Marklin)
6. Start documenting 40,000 objects from the American Shelby Collection and 300,000 books, magazines, manuals and more from Auto-Archives
