Christian Braun joining the NB Center for Automotive as Advisor for Automobilia

The NB Center for American Automotive Heritage in Allentown, Pennsylvania is an institution dedicated to preserving America’s automotive heritage through its commitment to craftsmanship, education, and good stewardship.

It showcases 250 cars but also a burgeoning library and 20,000 model cars with plans to expand the collection. Christian and hobbyDB Squad Member Steve Engeman AKA Litre7 helped assess a Promo Collection that joined the NB Center earlier in the summer.

And in August Christian brokered a new home for Denver-based Auto-Archives after it needed to find a new base.

85,000 historic books, magazines, photographs, technical manuals, sales literature,
and other ephemera being packed up and shipped to Allentown

Keith Flickinger, General Manager of the NB Center says “It is hard to find somebody who knows more about Automotive Collectibles than Christian and if he does not know something he knows and can call somebody who does, we at the NB Center are super excited to have him help us.”  Nicola Bulgari, vice chairman of luxury goods brand Bulgari who collects Cars, Automobilia and Jewelry and whose collection started the NB Center added “I am pleased that Keith and his team are continuing to build out the NB Center and bring world-class expertise like Mr. Braun’s to the operation and cannot wait to peruse the Center’s new library and automobilia collections when we open our new Visitor’s Center”.

And of course, this gets hobbyDB closer to its stated aim of being the World’s Museum. We are developing more Collection Management features for top-notch collections such as the NB Center and are in discussions of adding its extensive collection to hobbyDB.

Congratulations on becoming an Advisor and for finding a home for the Auto-Archives! If you need a sub-advisor for 1/43 model cars, you know where to look! 🙂
