Art Toy of the Week – Treeson

I have been collecting designer toys since 2004 and this is my weekly column.  I also have other interests (I am for example the Curator of the Breyer Horses and Warne’s Observer’s Pocket Books and generally am known to add anything cute to my collection).

This week’s Art Toy of the Week is the adorable Treeson by Bubi Au Yeung, and produced by Crazy Label, and later by Fluffy House. This curious creature with a branch sprouting from his chest originates from a really lovely book by Bubi that shares the story of sweet Treeson, a kind forest creature, befriending young boy, Ren, and going on adventures together.

Original 6″ Treeson

Treeson was first released as a toy back in 2007 and has since been released in several sizes, including blind boxed mini series, and the character has also been transferred onto a SuperJanky figure by Bubi. It’s not too hard to find even the older figures for sale, and there’s still new Treeson figures being released too.
