Quirky and Cool Collabs, the Most Valuable Superman Comics and hobbyDB Crowdfunding Closes with a Pair of Milestones! Check out some of the news from the hobbyDB blog during the month of June. Read the latest news and fun stuff here!
We have closed our 5th Crowdfunding Round as part of our effort to have 100,000 volunteers that manage and own hobbyDB. All totaled, we raised $120,177 from 292 Now Owners – squad members, industry leaders (a lot of new folks that make new collectibles to be included on hobbyDB!), and collectors.
We’re also excited to announce that the hobbyDB database, with help from the Squad, has recently surpassed the 900,000 item mark and has added its 6 millionth price point!
hobbyDB’s Christian follows up last month’s “7 Must-Do’s to Make a Brand Collectible & Keep It That Way” with a look at some of the fun collaborations between major brands such as Lego x Adidas, Lancome x Be@rbrick and Pokemon x Van Gogh Museum. Click below to give it a read.
Anthony Watts is a ZBrush artist, graphic designer and lots more with Happy Worker Toys & Collectibles. He recently spent some time with hobbyDB sharing with us some of his inspirations, art work and some insights in toy and action figure design.
When it comes to the most valuable Superman Comic Books, the values are up, up and away! The Man of Steel is one of the ultimate super heroes in the world of comic books with values exceeding $4 million! hobbyDB examines the most valuable among them based on prices from Heritage Auctions. Special thanks to hobbyDB member Woody11 for adding these price points.
