Lladro was founded by brothers Jose, Juan and Vicente in 1953 in the Spanish village of Almassera near Valencia. Three years later their first porcelain figures made their debut and the rest is collecting history.
Lladro creates a variety of high-end porcelain and ceramic figurines that are coveted throughout the world. These figures are commonly animals, but other franchises, such as Star Wars have gained their own following among collectors.
