Sonny’s Chomps, Gastleys, Gravys, Tiny Ghosts and more!

Christian asked me for my top ten and that was not easy!

But after some soul-searching here they are, I hope you enjoy my Top 10 Favorite Toys!

#10- First Run Mortem

Mischief Toys has released three new characters since introducing us to Gastley, but the soul-snatching Mortem is easily my favorite of the bunch! It was truly an incredible surprise when my order arrived and it was the signed, First Run Edition!

#9- North Pole Resin Gravy

I attended SDCC 24 and NYCC 24, and failed to secure either of the resin Gravy’s that were exclusive to those shows. To top it off, I bombed the Ghost Rider Resin Gravy drop, so it was a holiday miracle when Smeye dropped this guy and I secured the bag!

#8- Tiny Ghost SoulMates Spookerman Prototype

Tiny Ghost grabbed my attention through Fugitive Toys booths and their blind box minis, but I finally caught up to SoulMates in 2024. I was lucky enough to snag a Bizarro Spookerman Chase from SDCC24, but I wasn’t quick enough to grab this proto when it dropped in creator, Reis O’Brien’s store. However, the original purchaser reached out to me when they were ready to let him go and we were able to work out a deal!

#7 – Gold Chomp Tut Unpainted Prototype

This one was up for auction and I failed to secure the winning bid only to have the winner reach out and offer it to me for sale! I couldn’t turn down the deal and welcomed him to display alongside my Artist Proof of the glow in the dark version.

#6 – Gold Slate Gravy

SmeyeWorld really turned collecting on its head, for me, when they introduced the Gravy line! I already had the Gold Slate Skelly Chomp and I was already going crazy over these Gravy’s, then the team decides to go and collaborate with Abominable Toys on the surfer Chomp pin…it was a no-brainer!!

#5- 1 of 1 Silver Slate Skelly Chomp Test Prototype

Being a fan of Abominable Toys comes with so many opportunities to engage with the co-creators. As such, this figure was one of several that were given away in a contest for members of the Abominable Toys Collector group on Facebook.

#4- Initiation Gastley

Since tuning into the Gastlecast on YouTube, and learning about Mischief Toys, I’ve become a big fan of the community that Chris and Heather have fostered. Add in some super cool collectibles and you know I just had to get my hands on this guy.

#3- Glow Chase Jawbreaker Chomp

This 7BucksAPop exclusive was the first collectible I ever purchased that wasn’t a Funko Pop, and I never looked back! After scoring this Chase at SDCC 2023, I’ve become a huge fan of Connor McConnell, Benjamin Su, and the Abominable Toys team!

#2- King Viserys Targaryen Funko Pop Prototype

Attending my first Fundays in 2024 was amazing, but sitting at the same table as the person that pulled this proto was fate! The Funko Protos 101 HOFer put it up for sale and we were able to work out a deal that brought the King of the Andals and the First Men home.

#1- Headless Ned Stark

Game of Thrones got me into collecting in 2017, so naturally the first Funko Pop I ever coveted was this GOTs super grail. I thought, “At that price, I’ll never have one!” but luck was on my side when I won this figure in a “waffle,” years later!
