I work in a collectibles and vintage toy store, and I hate to say it, but POPs are starting to go the way of Beanie Babies, there will always be those rare editions that some collector is looking to add to their collection but the bulk are simply overproduced and at this point, many aren’t worth the plastic they’re cast from. POP figures, vintage Star Wars, GI Joe, it’s all only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The term is “perceived value”. Beanie Babies that were rare and worth a small fortune back in the nineties go for pennies on the dollar these days, there’s very little demand among the average consumer market. No unfortunately Funko POP is going to have find a new gimmick or our cute little collections of freaky big black eyed pop culture reference, buddies are going to get lonely.
Not sure this comment really applies to this list. Yes, we got 55,000 Funko products in the database and many of them will stay flat at $5-10, same as what happened to Hot Wheels but I do not think Beanie Babies are comparable.
