I have been collecting designer toys since 2004 and this is my weekly column. I also have other interests (I am for example the Curator of the Breyer Horses and Warne’s Observer’s Pocket Books and generally am known to add anything cute to my collection).
This week’s Art Toy of the Week is the ferocious Shark Papa by Momoco Studio, known for their shark figures. He was first released back in 2018. This is large and detailed sofubi figure, standing just over 9″ tall. Who doesn’t want an absolutely hench shark in their collection?! A number of different colourways have been released, some limited edition, he’s certainly popular.

They would generally retail between $100-200, but if you want the figures that are sold out you’re going to need to dig much deeper down the back of the sofa!
