Welcome to the sixth edition of our pricey ponies blog! It was a summer of plastic ponies, which kicked off with a bang with Breyerfest at the beginning of July. Breyerfest duly released a number of amazing limited edition models into the wild, and the event meant lots of collectors also got to get their paws on long-sold-out grail figures too. It wasn’t just Breyer that got a look in, Peter Stone had their Equilocity event which takes place alongside Breyerfest. Here are just some of the new and vintage figures that appeared for sale.
An absolutely stunning pinto, B’Saha, Breyer released at Breyerfest 2025 as a very rare raffle prize, expected to mostly end up in black hole collections! So when one popped up on eBay shortly after Breyerfest, he went for an astonishing $6,100!
Originally released as a matte figure on Breyer‘s Othello mould, a very limited glossy version of Mariah’s Boon was released in 2012 as a prize at Breyerfest. A true rarity of just 25 pieces, when he popped up on eBay he went for a whopping $4,500!
A cousin of Mariah’s Boon above, Churchill is another rare colourway on Breyer‘s Othello mould. Released in 2018 and just 185 pieces, Churchill was exclusively for Breyerfest Volunteers. When one of these popped up on eBay, he reached $2,500!
Those Breyer Othello mould collectors were going wild! Yet another rare colourway, this time the decorator “Silver Snow” from 2008, had his turn in the spotlight. Only 200 of these were produced! Not one, but two, sold in August, the highest being $1,500!
Another 2025 Breyerfest rarity! Legend was originally released as a matte regular run, but for Breyerfest they produced a tiny run of them in glossy for prizes for the open show. A couple have appeared on eBay and gone for between $1,100 – $1,700!
Breyerfest is notorious for surprise and very limited edition colourways, and this holographic version of the 2025 special edition of YOLO was no exception! Prices may come down over time, but a few of these models did quickly appear on eBay post-event, reaching between $1,500 – $2,000!
Another Breyerfest 2025 special run was “To the Ties that Bind Us” on the ever-popular rearing Silver mould. This had three colourways, two being a surprise, the Wedgewood blue, a gold charm, and silver charm. It would seem the silver is the most desirable with a couple now appearing for sale so far on eBay and reaching an average of $1,900! One went for $3.5k!
Another 2025 Breyerfest release, the Get This Party Started Breyer horse was also released in three colourways. The two more common ones were a buckskin pinto and black pinto, but the “chase” rare one was a striking bright blue pinto. A few have now popped up for sale, reaching almost $3,000!
Speaking of Breyerfest, this is a vintage Breyer named “Hollywood Glamour” who was a very limited edition of just 26 pieces released as a raffle prize back in 2010. An exceptionally rare piece, when one came up on eBay he went for $4,500!
This is a rare Breyer model, Paparazzi was released in 2008 for the Velvet Rope event. Only 200 of this model were produced. Rarely seen for sale, so when one came up on eBay he went for $2,000!
This little seated donkey figure by Breyer, named Brighty, has always been a fan favourite. In 2021 Breyer released four colourways named Nugget as part of their Vintage Collector’s Club. They are all desirable. When a Wedgewood Blue Nugget popped up on eBay he went for $1,000!
Continuing a blue pony trend, Sailor was released by Breyer back in 2015 also as part of their Vintage Collector’s Club. He was released in four colours, this is the “Blue Copenhagen”. They are very hard to find, so when he came up on eBay he went for $1,300!
Going for gold this time, this Breyer Fighting Stallion in the rare vintage Gold Charm colourway from the 1960s is a hard one to find. It was no surprise when he went for $1,300 on eBay!
Normally its the larger 1:9 scale Breyers we’re talking about here as they usually command the high prices. Every now and again a smaller figure tries to muscle in on the spotlight. In this case it was the 2025 Breyerfest special edition Stablemate, Shindig. He had a standard black and white colour, but a very limited “colour shift” edition was also released and it was a lucky dip which one you got. So when the rare colour came up for sale on eBay he went for $1,500!
This is a stunning new Mustang Mare “Anne Wilder” by Peter Stone. Released for the Equilocity event in 2025, only 30 were made! So when this lovely lady came up on eBay she went for $1,290!
You can always trust collectors to go wild over an oddity! This is the Prancing Arab in porcelain by Beswick. Usually when they’re grey they will have some dapple shading on their hindquarters and shoulders, but not this one in pure white! It is unusual to find them dapple-free, so 43 bids later he went for $1,550 on eBay!
This is a very striking porcelain figure by Royal Worcester. The Hackney Stallion was released back in 1975 and only 500 were made. An absolute grail for collectors, so when one appeared on eBay he went for just over $2,400!
Do let me know what you think of some of these ponies in the comments below! Do you know of any others I should cover next month?
