Amiibo News and 2024 Releases to Look Forward to Next Year

Javier SerranohobbyDB super user Javier Serrano, aka Fjaviserr shares with us some of the latest news and more from the world of Amiibo. Read more of his wonderful guest posts here!

The upcoming amiibo figures from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be landing on stores next week, so we could finally see which new functions provide the NFC figures of Mio and Noah to the fantastical World of Aionios. This two-figure pack will help us to restore the peace between Agnus and Keves, so good luck in your quest.

In addition, the amiibo universe has been on fire during the last months, not just for the releases of the amazing figures of Ganondorf and Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and the members of the band Deep Cut from Splatoon 3, just for the current restock of a long list of amiibo figures in the Japanese and European markets.

Among those desired reruns we can highlight the figures of Sephiroth, Bayonetta Player One and Joker from Super Smash Bros, Boo from Super Mario, most of Link figures from The Legend of Zelda series without forgetting the very hard-to-find Pikmin amiibo.

And of course, although they are not the first print editions, it will be delightful to add some of those wonderful new variants to our collections before they disappear again.

However, the packaging singularity of those re-releases is on the back of the carboard, finding a new artwork, and replacing the traditional design from Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Switch series, for a new one much simpler with the caption “You can use amiibo with compatible software.”

But as we can see with the new figures of Big Man, Frye and Shiver, that kind of design would affect the new launches as well.

The new packaging of amiibo comes to confirm the rumors for a new console, that would be the successor of Nintendo Switch, same as the expected launch of a new version of Super Smash Bros in 2024.

Assuming that information would be true, a new wave of characters could be added into the legendary franchise created by Masahiro Sakurai. And it would be incredible to see new amiibos based on current characters such as the male version of Wii Fit trainer or the Pokémon trainer, Green.

Next month we will have one of the most awaited amiibo figures ever, Sora, and the good news is that the character from Kingdom Hearts will be accompanied by the new Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong Power-Up Bands during the spring.

Last ones will be exclusively sold at Super Nintendo World Japan and Super Nintendo World Universal Studios Hollywood.

I have got the feeling that the present year would be particularly relevant for the amiibo community, and I am getting ready to hunt some of the new treasures for coming. being sure that in the next few months Nintendo will surprise us with more shocking news making some of those rumors come true. So, my amiibos, the question is simple, are you ready for new adventures?

I hope you find this information helpful. Have an excellent week. Let me know if you’d like to know more in the comments below. See all Amiibo on hobbyDB here!
